API Updates 9/25/2009
It has been quite some time since we’ve released update notes for the Best Buy Remix API! We have quite a list of things to tell you about since the last time we had an update.
Infrastructure Change
We’ve moved hosting providers for the Remix API. What does this mean for you? Overall you should experience a much ’snappier’ API.
New Features
Frequently Purchased With: This isn’t a totally new feature, but one we previously had to remove for other reasons. However it’s now back in Remix, this will show up as product SKUs as <frequentlyPurchasedWith> in the API. This data shows products that are frequently purchased with specific SKUs.
Store Availability Archives: In our previously announced archives we mentioned that an availability archive would be coming soon, well it’s finally here. The format is TSV for this file versus the XML or JSON format for our other archives.
How to access it:

Bug Fixes
We no longer base the category tree of inactive products. This results in a more accurate category tree. Categories that only contain inactive products should no longer show.
We also identified an issue where some SKUs showed older information in Remix. This was a problem where the <productId> in Remix was incorrect compared to BestBuy.com. This is now resolved.
