Best Buy Remix API Update – July 1st, 2009

We have performed an update, added a new feature, and performed some bugfixes to the Remix API. The following is live as of July 1st.

Updates:
The way results are returned in large query responses has been changed. Previously you would receive a “too many results” error. If the first 100 results returned satisfy the query, you will receive those results and a warning that there are more than 100 results.

New Feature:
A long name attribute as been added to the Store API. When we switched to our updated store data each store had “Best Buy” in the name (e.g., Best Buy – Richfield). The attribute will show this, the short name (e.g., Richfield) will return in the attribute.

Bugfixes:
- We had a problem where some products ‘automagically’ disappeared. This has been resolved.
- Previously when a store number or SKU had a letter in the string the API would not return an error. The API will now return a 404 error.

If there are any problems with these updates, questions, or concerns please let us know!

Doesn’t this site have some sort of repository of Remix applications? If not, then is there one anywhere?

What are the results from Remix: number of developers, number of remix apps, increase in traffic to Best Buy, etc.?
